I need help with the care and feeding of Gardenias, especially how to transplant a new plant?

A friend has given me the clippings from his gardenia and they have very small roots what is the best way to care for these?

a good quality premium potting mix.plant the cutting and keep moist.you could use seasol(seaweed based)to avoid shock.it shouldnt need feeding at this stage.many fertilisers contain nitrogen which focuses on leaf growth.you need to get the roots established first.put it out of direct sunlight and it pretty much will take care of itself
Reply:Here is an idea to use, click this link:

Reply:you can put them 2 day's in water(glass)with 1/4 of a asprine and than plant the clippings in a pot! or you can plant them outside where you have a litlle shade! don't forget to give them water every day .
