Is there something it needs to flower?

Bloom time depends greatly on temperature. Typically when night time temps are between 65-75 degrees. Provided it is getting enough filtered light and water, you may get a bloom in the fall.

Gardenias are very hard when it comes to blooming. I'm holding out hope for mine as well. Good luck
Reply:Mine didn't start blooming until the third year, maybe it isn't old enough yet.
