Gardenia,hydrangeas,camellias do these take sun or shade?
Hydrangeas need lots of moisture but not soggy soil. The more moisture the more sun it can take but likes afternoon shade.Gardenia needs afternoon shade and protection from wind. Camellias take part sun. Protect from high winds.
Reply:Camellias and gardenias do well in partial sun, moist soil - hydrangeas do not tolerate direct sun very well but can handle dryer conditions. I live in zone 8 and it gets pretty hot and is often dry so I water frequently.
