Bathroom and girls?

Hi. This will be a girl’s only talk and sorry it is kinda embarrassing question.

I am a Japanese, and we feel its embarrassing to let people hear the toilette sounds as I wrote in my diary titled

“a mysterious place” http://momo-gardenia.blogspot.com/

Here is a good info from wekipedia ::http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toilets_in_...

So, I would like to know if this is only a Japanese thing….

what you guys think?
Bathroom and girls?
Personally, I feel the same...I hate public restrooms anyway and I dislike the "invasion of privacy".
Reply:Hi!

Well to be honest yes, i think that only a japanese thing nobody here in USA cares when you flush the toilet come on... They don't even look at you wen you go to the batrhoom, well personaly i don't like anyone to be near the bathroom when im in it, im not embarrase but i just donnt like it, i like my privacy.. And if you have that thing with public bathrooms just don't use them .... I DON'T IT'S GROSS!!!!
Reply:It is embarassing. I think most girls feel the same. Girls at my school put the hand drier on for their friends when there in the toilets to give them some privacy.
Reply:I am a Japanese girl also and yeah, I think it's only a Japanese thing. I am not embarassed of making sound when I am peeing, I mean, what's the big deal? It's natural to make sound when water and water hits each other. What's there to be so embarassed about?

What's embarassing about is to seeing someone's crap because they didn't flush. Or even piss everywhere on seats and not wiping it. I really like that desinfection spray or gel and toilets that flushes automatically we have now because of these problems I was disgusted with.

I personally think we are too fussy about every little things. We should be more carefree.

Reply:Embarrassment in a public convenience, tricky one, Some weeks ago I was at the American war cemetery in Avaranche in Normandie and was dying to go, I saw a large congregation of men out side the 'hommes' and yet the building was empty saving the cleaning lady who was cleaning the urinals. As I walked in I was accosted by a large American gentleman who informed me that cleaning was in progress. I shook my head in bewilderment and went to the nearest urinal and proceeded to urinate. the cleaning lady came over to me during mid flow and asked why everyone was standing outside, I told her they were Americans, she nodded and gave a Gallic shrug and carried on cleaning next to me. On the way out I was accosted by the Americans and told that was unacceptable behavior and i could be arrested in the USA. I told him ' This is France not the USA.

Reply:I wish we had that here in America. I hate the fact that we have cracks in the sides of the doors that people can see into and a large space by our feet, which people could easily look under and watch you pee. And most women over here don't mind it when people hear their "bathroom sounds." I sure do.

I should advocate for this "Utahime." It sounds great!

By the way, I love your blog.
Reply:No, its not a problem.
