I am having family over..My nephew Maxx...and niece's CoCo and Courtney?

are coming to visit.... I was thinking about taking them on a walking tour of my city......but I hate to admitt this...but CoCo...is sort of a dirty girl.....although when she baths...and puts her gardenia wash on..then she is the bell of any ball...but she doen't have the best bathing skills in the winter...I don't know why.....she is more of the outdoor girl type...where as Maxx and CoCo....are more of the lounge around the house type....what activities should we get in to when they come for a visit?

Oh absolutely yes, my kids just can't wait to see their Aunt Judy!!

Maxx and Courtney have both been doing really good jobs with their baths. I made sure that both lathered up two times, towel dried, put conditioner in their hair, and then brushed their hair dry.

Maxx likes to play in some cologne and thinks he's the 'big man on the street' but he is really shy at first. Once he's been around you for a while, he opens up and is really a nice boy. Courtney has recently discovered my Gardenia Bath Products I love them so much and after her bath, we dolled her up with skin conditioning cream to make her very soft, and then I let her play with my gardenia perfume spray. Oh, they all smelled so good! So, good progress is being made in this area! LOL, I'm so excited that they are not all fighting me over taking their baths anymore!! ;)

It's just CoCo that we have trouble with and especially when it is cold during the winter, she is in tub and out like that! That is when I have the most trouble with her trying to get her to stay and soak longer to get all the dirt off of her. She is the biggest tom-boy out of all these kids. But during the Spring, CoCo is so much better about her bath and taking longer amounts of time. Perhaps we should plan this trip during their Spring Break....if you aren't going to have your daughter and grandson over during that time.

They would love to walk, go to a park, play ball, going to the zoo would probably 'blow their minds or anything that is 'outdoorsy' is

always a great thing to do with them during the Spring. All of them come inside sooo stinky during the Spring and Summer after they

have playing outside, but then don't most kids? Just toss the girls in the bath together and Maxx can bathe after the girls have both finished since it doesn't take as long for him. CoCo's hair takes a while to brush out though, so I'm thinking of cutting it. I think she's ready for a change and she'd be cute with a shorter 'do.' CoCo is the really outdoor-one of the family. She will stay outside all day if you let her. Just be really firm about her taking a bath and she'll mind you a whole lot better than me. Don't kids always mind other adults better than their own parents? But the two younger ones tend to get hungry, want something to drink, to cool off, and they still take a nap if they are especially tired.

Well, I know that they are going to love coming to see their Aunt Judy, if you can put up with all three of them. I know at first we had discussed only sending the girls up, but it was really kind of you to ask Maxx, too. He doesn't like being left out and he's always right in the middle of everything!

I guess once I look at the calendar and see when Spring Break is, hopefully, we can manage to fly them up then, it you aren't going to be too busy with other things. This is a really great idea and it's going to be an exciting trip for them. The airlines told me it was okay for them to fly and that a Stewardess will watch out for them until they get to MD. I think I'll be the emotional one here and not them!! O_O

Just let me know when a good time is for you and I'll buy them their plane tickets. They haven't ever been out-of-state before, so this will be so very exciting for them.
Reply:how old is she? maybe you can help her bathe. her mom should teach her better hygiene. once you get that together, you should be able to take them where you want.
Reply:Hi Again, Sweet Judy,

Can you check out a book about bathing for Coco...not one that will embarrass her, but talks about how fun it can be to look your best? I looked online but can't find any titles for you. If she is young, can you get her a fun bath set...they have some with crayons that you can write on the shower walls with (they wipe right off).

For the lounge around the house kids....cards, puzzles, games are all fun things to do. My nieces and nephews make french bread pizza for dinner. We put out bowls of pizza toppings and everyone can make their own individual pizza bread. It's a nice way to get everyone involved.
Reply:how old is CoCo? My eldest daughter went through a bad hygiene phase shortly after she got too old for me to do it for her... maybe she will grow out of it. There are always things to do, take in a movie, go for ice cream, visit a museum, go skating, visit a park with a pond and ducks, have a picnic...of couse a walking tour of the city is a fantastic idea. More importantly, just enjoy each others company and Good luck!
Reply:No one you pass on a walking tour is going to stop you and tut about your niece's hygiene. Try not to worry about it.

Definitely go out. The bum-around types shouldn't bother visiting if they're just going to watch TV.

Why not try something that's totally new to you as well? That way, your expectations are totally fresh. You don't run the risk of having your guests yawn about a place you love, and you get to scope out a new corner of your city.
Reply:A walking tour would be very fun.. :) Maybe a trip to the park, and the library (which would be fun for the lounging about kids). As for sweet CoCo, I agree with the lady who said to get her a fun bathing book..

Have fun XD
Reply:Hi Sweet Judy,

Take them to a movie and let them pick which one to see. Do you have a Zoo where you live? That would be a plus for all of you.How about bowling or some sort of games.. Then the day before they leave take a small tour and let then see some of your city.. Have fun My Friend..

A Friend,

Reply:I don't know how old she is but maybe a good 'ol talking to would be in line. At a young age good hygiene habits need to be established.

Now I am going to go shower!
