How to get rid of slime in table water fountain without expensive pills from exortic fountain companies?
Run some CLR through it @ tbls to a cup of water
Reply:drain the unit and clean with water and bleach mixture. you might have to regularly do this to see results (once a week or so). standing water creates slime/mold that only routine maintenance will heal.
Reply:Empty out the old, probably stale, water and try dipping a cloth into a solution of water and a little Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Powder?) and then rubbing that on the area that holds the water, as if you were cleaning the inside of a teacup.
The water feature sounds lovely, I'm sure you've chosen something to enhance your home ...
Reply:Why not just empty the water out, clean and then put back into use.
I would use a few drops of Clorox, it should kill any algae
deodorizers

A few weeks ago I noticed the water in my fountain was a bit discolored. I didn’t think anything of it, but after a couple days I noticed that it got a whole lot worse so I knew I needed to have it checked. In my search for a repair service, I came across Miami Pool Tech and I hired them to handle the job. Their service was great and they take care of all your fountain problems. Check out their maintenance programs on http://miamipooltech.com/.
